palliative care.  After staying at home and raising her children, Kristin returned to school to pursue her dream of a nursing career. Kristin has been a nurse for over 10 years. As a student nurse, she fell in love with hospice care.  Her nursing career began in a busy inner city hospital, working in a medical specialties unit. After “putting in her dues” as a med-surg nurse for over three years, she took a job at an inpatient hospice. She has been a hospice nurse for 7 years.

She has worked as an inpatient hospice nurse, a home hospice case manager, and a community RN liaison. Along with her compassion of caring for hospice patients and their families, she is passionate about advance care planning. She is trained as a Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning Facilitator and Last Steps Instructor.

Kristin lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband. She has three college aged sons who may or may not be living at home, depending on when you are reading this.
